I want to register a company in Germany and apply a self-employed visa. I wonder which level of regional Wirtschaftsförderung (business promotion) department is responsible for evaluating the self-employed visa application - the city, the district or the state?
If you want to register as a self-employed entrepreneur, you will need to contact your local trade office (“Gewerbeamt”) in the municipality in which the business is to be established.
