Antwort

Please note that if you are not a citizen of the European Union you will need a residence permit for the purpose of self-employment (“Aufenthaltserlaubnis zur Ausübung einer selbständigen Tätigkeit”) in order to set up a business in Germany. If you are not yet living in Germany, you need to apply for a visa for the purpose of self-employed occupation (http://www.make-it-in-germany.com/en/for-qualified-professionals/working/setting-up-a-business-in-germany/visa-for-self-employment#general-information-on-the-visa-process-for-citizens-of-other-states) at the competent German Mission in your home Country. Information on visa process as well as application forms are available here: http://www.make-it-in-germany.com/en/for-qualified-professionals/visa

There a several criteria which need to be fulfilled in order to obtain the residence permit to work as a self-employed entrepreneur (Gewerbe) (residence permit for the purpose of self-employment): http://www.make-it-in-germany.com/en/for-qualified-professionals/working/setting-up-a-business-in-germany/visa-for-self-employment#requirements-for-citizens-of-other-states-wishing-to-set-up-a-self-employed-business.

For further questions regarding the visa process please contact directly the German Mission in your country of residence - especially for questions concerning the required documents. You will find the local contact here: http://www.make-it-in-germany.com/en/for-qualified-professionals/visa/local-contacts. If you are already in Germany and you are sure to open your restaurant in Berlin the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Berlin will guide you: https://www.ihk-berlin.de/English/en/Working_in_Berlin/Visa/Business_and_start_up_entrepreneurs_from_third_countries/2260072
