I am a M.Sc. Mechatronik Engineer, employed in an Automation company and a BluCard holder with Pakistani nationality. I have a family business in Pakistan of Cutlery, Stainless Steel Products and Plastic Hotel ware Items. My father is already exporting our products to different clients in Germany and Europe from Pakistan. As a next step, I want to keep a stock of products and establish an online shop for selling them in Germany. I would highly appreciate if you can guide me in this regard. What would be the steps from start till end? How to get my own importing license? Do I need more documents to do business in Germany? From where to get info regarding taxes and duties?

With regard to your inquiry we would like to refer you the local Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) in the city or region where you would like to conduct and register your business. The local IHK is the first point of contact when intending to start up a new business.
